Who we are
The purpose of this website is to aggregate dog events, trials, and community submitted Trainer info into an easy to use map. Our website address is: https://fidoevents.com
Cookies
When you input an address into the Event Map Location, we will set a cookie to remember your location preference. This cookie expires after 30 days.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
DogSportsFinder accounts (app and website)
Accounts are optional. You can use the DogSportsFinder app and website without one. If you choose to create an account, you sign in with Apple, Google or Facebook. We never see or store your password for those services.
What we receive when you sign in. Your sign-in provider shares a unique account ID and your email address with us. Google and Facebook may also share your name and profile picture. If you use Sign in with Apple and choose “Hide My Email,” we receive a private relay address instead of your real email. We use this information only to identify your account. We never display your email address and never use it for marketing.
What we store with your account:
- Your profile name, the public name you choose for your account.
- A profile photo, if you add one. It’s stored so it can be shown with your account, and anyone with its link can view it.
- Your saved events, their status (for example “entered”) and any entry reminders you set.
- Your saved searches and reminder preferences.
- The devices you use the app on (platform and app version), and when you were last signed in on the website.
Where it’s stored. Account data is stored with Supabase, our sign-in and database provider, on servers in the United States. Access rules ensure that only you can read or change your own account data. We don’t sell it or share it with anyone else.
Contributions. Ribbon photos and event dates you submit while signed in are linked to your account, so you can see them on your account page. Published ribbon photos don’t show who submitted them. If you submitted ribbon photos from the same device before creating an account, signing in links those to your account too.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time:
- In the app: Profile → Delete account.
- On the website: go to dogsportsfinder.com/account, sign in, and choose Delete account.
- Or email trish@fidoevents.com and we’ll delete it for you.
Deleting your account permanently removes your account, profile name, profile photo and all synced data (saved events, saved searches, reminder settings and device records). Saved events stored on your own device aren’t affected. Ribbon photos you’ve contributed stay in the community gallery; email us if you’d like them removed.
